The AirPulse A100HD is an entry-level model for audiophiles, Hi-Res certified to play high-resolution audio files in PCM format. The 5” woofer joins the AirPulse active speaker family, combining Hi-Res digital audio processing with understated elegance for a High-Fidelity audio system with superior sound and visual appeal. With a piano lacquer finish, it inherits the design and sound characteristics of the flagship 7001 near-field monitor speakers by Phil Jones. Using the same XMOS core as the A300, this compact cabinet delivers outstanding performance.
The A100HD features a horn-loaded ribbon tweeter with a thin aluminum ribbon diaphragm, providing high sensitivity, superb transient response, extended frequency range, and well-defined resolution. The horn shape optimizes high frequencies, minimizing room reflections and enhancing imaging for full, three-dimensional sound.
The 5” mid-woofer has a hard-anodized aluminum cone in a rigid cast magnesium frame. Designed with meticulous analysis using a Klippel Laser Doppler Interferometer, the large 35mm voice coil reduces power compression and ensures reliable performance. Cooler operation enhances dynamic representation and longevity.
